New Update - April 28
The district has thrown a slight curve ball by adding days 21-30, but deleting days 31-45. I have placed both packets on my documents page. If you would like to complete them, grade them (I'll have the grading masters on my documents page by close of business May 4th), take pictures showing all of your work and email them to me, I will make sure your 5th six-weeks grade is improved. I have decided to add 2 points to your final 5th six-weeks grade for each packet submitted that scored above a 70%. The deadline for submissions will be May 18. The packets are optional.

Update - April 8
I hope everyone is doing well. If you are keeping up with your packets, today is day 18. You should have the first two packets done this Friday. The third packet (for the next fifteen days) is posted on my documents page. If you would like to check the answers for the first 10 day packet they are posted on my documents page. I will post the answers for the second 10 day packet next week.
If you are working on the Edx.org algebra class instead of the packets, that's fine, but make sure you are making progress. You should have at least a 50% completion on the task bar by now.

Update - March 22
I wanted to make you aware of another great in-home educational resource (besides edx.org). Arizona State University has a giant online presence. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak they have opened up many of their programs for free. They are offering free online tutoring in math (and many other subjects), access to a huge amount of online courses, virtual field trips, learning videos, and library access. You can access this at:
https://asuforyou.asu.edu/home
It's definitely worth checking out!

Coronavirus Break Update - March 20
I hope you and your families utilize this time away from school to stay healthy and safe. The district has prepared two packets for you to complete over the next twenty days. I have placed both (labeled 10-day packet 1 and 10-day packet 2) on my documents page (should you need to download them). They are copies of pages we've covered before, but they are good for review. If we return on April 1st we will grade the 1st packet. If we return later we will grade both packets. If you need any help with anything, please email me at [email protected]. Also, check here periodically for any math updates.
If you start getting cabin fever or would like to get a jump start on 7th grade, try the following: (a) go to a website called www.edx.org (b) create a free account (c) do a search for and enroll in either "Introduction to Algebra" or "Introduction to Geometry". Both classes are offered from a company called SchoolYourself. These classes are self paced, offer good instruction and will help you in your math journey. If your feeling really adventurous, sign up for a programming class or another subject you might be interested in - they're free after all and you've got time!
